Roderick was our first Ridgeback. It was he who inspired in us the affection for his breed which led to the founding of our kennel. An ever-reliable and gentle companion, he was ready for any activity, from a long ski-trip to a romp in the garden with a small child, or a relaxed canter round the show-ring. In spite of all the wonderful Ridgebacks I have had the privilege of knowing since he passed away, I still miss him badly.
