TAKK FOR NOK EN KJEMPETRIVELIG HELG PÅ VIUBRÅTAN :0) Det ble bare tatt noen få bilder i helga, så dersom det er noen som har vært ivrigere på fotofronten, så hadde det vært kjempeartig og fått dem inn på siden. Resultatmessig var det "midt på treet" for oss i år. Veldig morsomt var det at Sacha (Madahiro's High Five) gikk helt til topps i mønstrings-klassen, grattis så mye til Anne og Roy ! Også i år vant Idunn (Madahiro's Innocent Blonde) konkuransen om beste ridge :0) , og Siv (Madahiro's I A Swede With An Alibi) ble utpekt som "gladeste tispe" i konkuransen om "utstillingens gladeste hund".

Sadly little Lene had to let go on Tuesday. We found what we believed to be a DS in her tailset when she was only one week old. Strangely there was no tube, or opening to the surface of the skin, so together with our vet. we decided that we wanted to be 100 % sure that it really was a DS, so we determined to keep her on, and give her that chance. (Saying this, I would not keep a puppy with a "classic" DS that was discovered at this early stage). During the operation it turned out that she had an opening in the spine that had caused the swelling of the tissue surrounding it. Unfortunately there was no way to save her.
She had a great life during the weeks she was with us, and ruled the gang with great confidence :0) I know I would do it all again - getting to know you was worth it Lene...

This was an untypical DS - no tube, no opening to the surface - but a hole straight in to the spine. I have often heard that a DS always has an opening to the surface, but it just goes to show that we still have a lot to learn about this "alien".
